Our Planned Activity Groups (PAGs) are a way to keep older people from CALD backgrounds active and independent for longer, supporting them to continue to live in their home and to be part of their community.
The groups meet regularly under the guidance of our trained, bilingual and bi-cultural Group Facilitators who engage the groups in a range of stimulating activities.
Based on the interests and needs of each group, the Group Facilitators invite guest speakers and organise outings and activities.
PAGs are structured as PAG High and PAG Core, each providing services to eligible clients with differing levels of needs:
Currently we run a number of ethno-specific Planned Activity Groups:
- Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin)
- Sri Lankan
Our Planned Activity Groups meet in a number of community rooms located throughout the northern metropolitan region including Preston, Reservoir, Pascoe Vale, Thomastown, Dallas and Broadmeadows.
PAG High sessions include meals and transport. Participants need to cover the cost of entry fees when required, during excursions and outings (e.g. museum ticket).
PAG Core participants also need to cover entry fees when required during excursions and outings (e.g. museum ticket).
Contact our office on (03) 9460 0200 or firstname.lastname@example.org if you’d like more information on the cost and services provided by each group.
Our Planned Activity Groups are funded by the Victorian Government through the Home and Community Care (HACC) Program.
