drop-in service

‘drop-in’ to see a settlement worker – no appointment necessary.

Our drop-in service helps new arrivals to Australia get help with issues related to their settlement.

Who we can help

This service can help you if you’ve been in Australia for five years or less, have low levels of English proficiency, are a permanent resident and came to Australia on a Humanitarian/Refugee visa or as a Family Stream migrant.

Note that this service is not for people who arrived on student and tourist visas or as skilled migrants.

How it works

On drop-in days our settlement workers will see the first six people who arrive, starting from 9 am.

No appointment is needed for the first visit, and eligible clients will be booked for one or more appointments, depending on their needs.
