Optimism abounds at Spectrum

Moreno Grison, Spectrum Board Chair, is pleased to announce after an extensive search, that Bernie Nott will be stepping into the CEO role on Monday 18^th June, 2018.

Bernie comes to Spectrum as an experienced CEO and values based leader in the social sector.  He has a strong record in leading change, growing organisations and collaborating and advocating for social impact.

Bernie’s most recent roles include CEO of Early Childhood Management Services (ECMS), Co-Chair of Early Learning and Care Council of Australia, and GM of Melbourne City Mission.

Bernie is enthusiastic about the opportunity ahead, “I am inspired by Spectrum’s purpose and look forward to building further on its’ great work.  Creating a sense of belonging and shaping a more inclusive society, so that people with migrant and refugee backgrounds can feel at home and have every opportunity to realise their goals, is such important work.”

Spectrum, having embarked upon a period of significant transformation, is well positioned to embrace the challenges of rapidly changing markets for aged care and disability services, and the impetus for impact and innovation in the settlement services arena.

Bernie’s experience leading strategic growth heralds a bright future for an organisation that has evolved to be intensely values driven, understanding of the customer experience, proactively networked and innovatively re-thinking of the way they deliver services to expand their impact.

The Spectrum team will be saying a fond farewell to Stelvio on Friday 8^th June.  Moreno says of Stelvio. “He has brought a careful, considered and steady approach to significant change, and is held in enormously high regard by both the board and the team he has re-built, shaped and empowered”.   Moreno noted that, “Bernie arrives to a contemporary organisation, with a strong and cohesive culture, with staff and management deeply committed to our ‘feel at home’ purpose.”
