Career Pathways and Professional Development

Spectrum places great value on providing quality professional development opportunities to all of our people. We understand our peoples career aspirations and have a variety of initiatives to support professional growth and development.
Formal training provided by Spectrum includes Manual Handling, Infection Control, Mental Health First Aid, Dementia Training and any other training relevant to the specific role.

Spectrum Academy

In addition to more traditional forms of professional development, Spectrum have partnered with Peer Academy, to develop a internal academy for peer to peer learning and skill sharing. Spectrum Academy engages top performers to share their skills and knowledge with others, increasing collaboration, networking and problem solving. This peer to peer model provides a practical, effective and scalable approach to developing our people.

Leadership development

Spectrum’s Leadership Program is a 12 week program with targeted and specific sessions to assist our people leaders to develop both personally and professionally. The program takes our leaders through a journey to discover and understand their purpose for working at Spectrum, their personal values and how they relate to the Spectrum values, emotional intelligence and how this impacts others, leadership style, resilience and to create a targeted evolution plan for their journey as a leader.
