Spectrum to open new social hub in Meadow Heights with Banksia Gardens Community Services

News 25 September 2026

We’re pleased to announce that a new social community hub is on its way for migrant communities in Melbourne’s north and west!

A new home at Meadow Heights Community Centre

In exciting news, Spectrum will soon be opening a new venue for our Aged Care, Settlement and migrant community services in Meadow Heights.

Often known as the Visy Cares Learning Hub in Meadow Heights, the refreshed Meadow Heights Community Centre will be a welcoming home for community members from across Melbourne’s western and northern suburbs.

Proudly in partnership with Banksia Gardens Community Services, our sunny and bright new venue will be home to many of our Social Support Groups for seniors, as well as future plans for family activities and programs.

The details

While we’re still finalising an official launch date for our community, members of our current Social Support Groups will be relocating their weekly sessions from late October 2026. We’re working closely with seniors, family members, carers, and our Spectrum team to help the transition go smoothly.

We’re excited for the potential that this bright, welcoming new space at Meadow Heights holds for our Social Support Groups, and for the opportunity to expand both our activities and our cultural groups to encompass Melbourne’s flourishing western suburbs.

Don’t forget – We will still continue to be based from our Spectrum offices in Dallas (Broadmeadows) and Sunshine! Find our contact details here.
