Our OMARA-registered Migration Agents are working from Sunshine (Brimbank area) and Dallas (Hume region), supporting clients that live locally and those still overseas.

This profit-for-purpose model will enable us to:

• Better fund programs that service our most vulnerable refugee families
• Ensure that everybody can benefit from ethical Migration services through a local Settlement organisation with a proven record of care, quality service and advocacy for migrants.
• Provide easier access to professional, trusted Migration Agents for people living or working in areas like Sunshine, St Albans, Taylors Lakes, Tarneit, Point Cook, and more across Melbourne’s western suburbs.

This expansion will provide an important resource for all people seeking Skilled visas, Family and Partner visas or Student visas; or dealing with appeals, permanent residency, and complex migration issues.

Who we are: 45 years of helping migrants in Melbourne

Since 1980, our aim at Spectrum Migrant Resource Centre has always been to help migrants and refugees feel at home in Melbourne.

Many of our staff are from refugee and migrant backgrounds themselves. They understand how much is at stake for our clients, and understand the complexity and stress of the migration journey.

As a leading Settlement organisation in Victoria, we’ve also spent decades supporting clients and their family members to settle safely and well in Australia through our not-for-profit service.

Our person-centred, trauma-informed approach has seen us develop tailored programs for migrants and refugees even after they’ve arrived in Melbourne, from parenting and employment to youth programs and crisis assistance.

But we haven’t only delivered services. In addition, we’ve been proud to use our voice for good – advocating for the rights and safety of refugee communities, skilled workers from other countries, people seeking asylum, young people who are newly-arrived in Australia and even seniors from settled migrant communities.

So when people seek support from Spectrum, they know that we truly are there for them.
