The Northern Federation of Ethnic Senior Citizens Clubs is an association of more than 80 clubs from Whittlesea, Darebin, Banyule and Yarra.
Club representatives meet monthly to find solutions to issues affecting the ageing population across different cultures. The group also serves as a pathway for service providers wanting to reach a large number of people in specific migrant communities.
The Federation is coordinated by Spectrum and offers activities that include training, community education, assistance in preparing funding applications and administrative support in meeting funding requirements.
It costs $10 annual membership for a club to be part of the Federation. For more information, contact Spectrum on 1300 735 653 or by email email@example.com
The coordinator position for the Northern Federation of Ethnic Senior Citizens Clubs is funded by the Home and Community Care (HACC) program and the grant to run the sessions is provided by the Victorian Multicultural Commission.
