Our drop-in service helps new arrivals to Australia get help with issues related to their settlement.
Who we can help
This service can help you if you’ve been in Australia for five years or less, have low levels of English proficiency, are a permanent resident and came to Australia on a Humanitarian/Refugee visa or as a Family Stream migrant.
Note that this service is not for people who arrived on student and tourist visas or as skilled migrants.
How it works
On drop-in days our settlement workers will see the first six people who arrive, starting from 9 am.
No appointment is needed for the first visit, and eligible clients will be booked for one or more appointments, depending on their needs.
Check our calendar for the drop-in days at your closest Spectrum office:
Monday Preston and Sunshine offices
Wednesday Preston, Dallas and Sunshine offices
Friday Dallas office
For more information contact your closest Spectrum office – find our contact details here.
Please note: the ‘drop-in’ service is only for people who came to Australia under the Humanitarian program or as Family Stream migrants with low levels of English proficiency. This is not a service for people who arrived on student and tourist visas or as skilled migrants.
