We offer ongoing homework support to primary and secondary school students, to improve their performance and their engagement at school, while parents learn to understand the school system and become active members of the school community. This assists young people and their families in settling and integrating into Australian society and widen their social networks
Homework for Students
Spectrum Education Support program (SESP) supports an average of 70 primary and secondary students each week. The small group and one-on-one sessions are held in the evening with the help of trained tutors. For some students, the SESP is the first positive learning experience, since arriving in Australia.
Our Tutors
This program wouldn’t be possible without our dedicated volunteer tutors. We recognise and appreciate their hardwork and time in helping students and families of newly arrived migrants and refugees improving their literacy outcomes.
