youth sports

a great way for young people to widen social networks

Participation in sport and recreational activities is a wonderful way of helping individuals and families from migrant and refugee backgrounds to settle in Australia and widen their social networks. Sporting and recreational clubs provide the  opportunity for young people to participate in cross cultural activities and better connect with their local communities

Spectrum has developed partnerships with a variety of  providers and are able to help young people participate in those sporting and recreational communities that sometimes are difficult for them to reach.

Our activities include:
• Soccer
• AFL
• Volleyball
• Cricket
• Badminton
• Camping
• African Drumming
• Arabic percussions

School holiday program

The School holiday programs are run in partnership with local councils, to give young people the opportunity to enjoy their break from school and studies. These programs are a great opportunity for the young people to expand their network and to make new friends, while having fun and getting to know leisure facilities in Victoria.

Check our calendar for a full list of sporting events, activities, and school holiday programs, or contact one of our offices.
